Thought on the Methodology of the New Institutional Economics

This paper is mainly about the theoretical research into the methodology of the New Institutional Economics(NIE).It holds that the philosophical basis of the NIE is the blending of individualism,latitudinarianism,institutionalism and other philosophical ideas;the fundamental category of it centers on the "transaction fees"," property right" and "system".The methodology has the characteristics of positivism,which emphasizes on natural order outlook and advocate case study method.At last,it expatiates on and evaluates the positive meaning and the limitations of the methodology of the NIE.
