Economic Integration and Regional Financial Integration--strategic Study of Joint Financial Action in the Economic Development of the Yangtze Delta

China?'s economy in the 21st century is bound to develop towards economic integration and regional financial integration. The Yangtze Delta area is regarded as an area with the greatest economic growth potential in present China, where coordinated action of the entire financial sector has a significant impact on the economic development of the region and on the entire country as well. To seek an effective strategy of joint financial action in the Delta, an in-depth analysis is made of the current economic development and financial capital flow in the region. Through detailed comparison and study of the overall economic might of fifteen cities and ICBC operational conditions in the region and after their advantages and disadvantages identified, an exploration is made into how to seize the opportunity in the course of the regional economic integration and take the initiative to establish a short and long-and-medium-term strategy of cooperation and exchange between ICBC branches in Shanghai and Zhejiang by joint financial actions so as to usher in new stage of development of ICBC in region.
