China's Bandit Cell Phones Besieged in International Market

The bandit cell phones,which are likely to occupy over 30%of the global market,are encountering resistance in the international market. It is previously free to apply for IMEI code,but currently European Equipment Type Certification Center,the neutral certificate issuing institution authorized by GSM alliance,starts to make punitive charges over Chinese cell phone manufacturers.Each type of cell phones by Chinese manufacturers will be charged 2000 de llars to apply for IMEI code.What is notable is that GSM alliance consists of famous international manufacturers such as Nokia,and it is believed that the punishment means a lot.Famous manufacturers such as Nokia are losing their market share to Chinese manufacturers such as Mediatek in the Chinese market,while Mediatek is entering the European market by cooperating with Vodafone,Europe's largest telecom operator.All this will definitely attract intensive attention from Nokia,Sony Ericsson and other large cell phone manufacturers.
