This paper analyses the contents of financial innovation and proposes:Meeting the requirement of financial resources allocation and taking the aim of improving financial effciency are the essential needs of financial innovation;The contents of financial innovation should correctly reflect the main aspects and channels of improving the allocating efficiency of financial resources;Financial innovation should include financial system innovation,financial technical innovation and financial product innovation.
