Consideration of Development of Modern Service Industry in Beijing's CBD

Beijing's CBD is a district where quite a number of foreign enterprises and institutions are located. Based on its community positioning of industrial function, Beijing CBD should emphasize on developing five main service industries as: international banking, consultation, trade, cultural mass media and science and technology of information transmission and processing. In this area there are many foreign enterprises and institutions located. This advantage should be used to its full extent. As a new economic impetus, office renting, conference and exhibition service and business travel will be developed more rapidly on a larger scale. As one of the three major functional areas of Beijing, CBD should make a full play of its business function. Through developing modern service industry, CBD can further enlarge its influence on the overall economic development in the Capital area and make more contributions to building Beijing into an international metropolis.
