Analysis on the Barriers and Causes in Development of Public Participation in Chinese Urban Planning

Public participation in urban planning is always the question that is paid attention for a long time,but advances slowly,in China.On Base of the studying the theory and practice of participation in the urban planning in the western nations,this article analysis the main barriers in the advancement of public participation in urban planning in China,as well as formations the barriers come.At the same time,this article puts forward the constructive policy proposals on public participation to accelerate its application in our country's urban planning.
