| Abstract: | ANSYS is powerful finite element analysis software. ANSYS provides three programming techniques to users. These programming techniques include the use interface design language (UIDL), ANSYS parametric design language (APDL) and user programmable feature (UPFs). The three programming techniques are firstly described in this paper. Based on the APDL programming technique, a fundamental procedure to determine the parameter optimum design of double thin-wall pier is presented. Finally, the fundamental procedure is applied in a detailed example. |
