试论高校英语泛读教材选材中的全球视角

以《新编英语泛读教程》为例,着重探讨了教材中的全球视角和全球意识及在中国高教面向世界的过程中强调这种全球视角的历史必然性和紧迫性。笔者认为,从西方视角出发的视角和意识还不是真正意义上的全球视角。应摈弃当前英语教材中‘以西律中’或‘以西盖全’的选材方法,提倡在高校英语教材中兼收并蓄人类一切文化成果作为英文阅读材料而不仅仅是欧美文化,这是英语教学面向世界的历史性要求。

On the Global Perspective in Selecting English Teaching Materials

This paper casts a review on the academic features of recent English teaching materials with a special note on the global perspective. With the higher education in China having become more and more connected to the whole world, this global sense should be cherished and cultivated. We'd better select some highlights from all the different cultures and reject the predominance of the western patterns and values.
