制度质量、制度稳定性与经济增长:一项实证研究

本文利用1995-2009年95个国家三个样本组平均每5年期的面板数据,设定跨国面板固定效应模型,检验了制度质量、制度稳定性对经济增长的影响,并对制度质量和制度稳定性对发达国家和发展中国家经济增长的不同作用进行了比较分析.研究结果表明高质量的制度促进经济增长,不稳定的制度阻碍经济增长;和发达国家相比,制度质量对发展中国家经济增长所发挥的作用相对较小,而制度不稳定对发展中国家经济增长所产生的阻碍作用却相对较大,这主要是因为发达国家更透明的市场信息,更完善的资本市场和保险市场减少了制度不稳定性所带来了短期危害.

Institution Quality, Institution Stability and Economic Growth: an Empirical Study

This paper builds cross-border model and tests the effects of institution quality and stability on economic growth with data through 1995-2009 from 95 countries.The results show that high quality institution enhances economic growth while unstable institution hinders it,that institution quality plays less role for developing countries than that for developed ones while unstable institution hinders developing countries more than developed ones.
