| Abstract: | According to Cognitive Linguistics languages are embodied. Human beings use the subjective initiative in the process of embodiment. Language embodiment and human subjective initiative play a very important role in conceptual extension. These two points provide a more reasonable analysis and explanation for the similarities and differences between English and Chinese conceptual extension. |
