Open Source Software:An Analysis on the Cyber Community as an Producer

The open source movement advocates that source code of software should be open to the society in order to protect the right of software programmers worldwide to use,modify and publish it,and opposes to copyright system.As a cyber community that has unique performance in the aspects of R&D and organizing the software production process,the open source movement has challenged the prevailing intellectual property system and added a new model of innovation——user innovation.Cooperation and responses from antimonopoly enterprises and developing countries enable the open source software to compete with the proprietary software.
