The treatment of market dominance

This paper first reviews the conceptual basis for Sherman Act treatments of market dominance. Chicago-UCLA objections to treatment are found to be weak and unproven. Then the results of leading past cases and of possible future candidates are discussed. A revival of Section 2 is needed, with extensive study of candidates, even if few firms are actually taken to legal action.
