The Development and Cause of European Sovereign Debt Crisis and Its Enlightenments to China

Since 2010,the Greek,Portuguese and Irish governments have announced that they are unable to repay their matured sovereign debt,which makes the three international rating agencies successively downgrade the credit rating of some members in EU,and Standard & Poor’s has cut American sovereign credit rating for the first time in history.Although the US Congress passed the Bills that agreed to raise the debt-ceiling at the last moment,which temporarily stabilized the global economy,the current European sovereign debt crisis which had a tendency of spread overshadowed the global economic recovery once again.As the main driving force for the world economy,it is significantly important for China to take greater responsibility for maintaining global economic stability based on the premise that ensure its own economy growth healthy and sustainable under the complex combat international situation.
