| Abstract: | The existing literature has not arrived at a consensus on the stage of industrialization in Guangdong province.After a discussion of the characteristics of Guangdong industrialization since the Reform and Opening-up in reference to the middle and late stage of industrialization in developed countries and emerging nations,this article concludes that at the turn of the 21st century Guangdong province is advancing towards the late stage of industrialization. |
