风过灵岩茶溢香

＂焚香且上五花殿,煮茗更临双鹤泉。＂灵岩寺千佛殿外西侧这一明朝碑刻,不经意间告诉我们,焚香礼佛,取泉烹茶,实在是当年灵岩寺僧侣们修行的日常功课。茶因禅兴世人都以为,茶树生于中国南方,北方气候不适宜种植。殊不知,早在晚唐时期济南就曾有过种茶史,甚至还引领了北方饮茶之风,而这股茶饮之风的肇始地就在长清的灵岩寺,是以,灵岩禅与茶的故事可谓渊源久远。

THE SMELL OF LINGYAN TEA SPREAD WITH BREEZES

Renowned for being produced in Lingyan Temple, Lingyan Tea interrelates with the interpretation of Zen spirit. Accordina to the historical records, Linclyan Temple pioneered the fashion of tea drinkingin northern China. The ＂Travelogue of Feng＂, written by Feng Yan in the Tang Dynasty, records that there was an eminent monk preaching Buddhism in Lingyan Temple, who advocated studying indefatigably for the pursuit of enlightenment of Zen. Drinking only tea was encouraged and treated as a source of supply during the all-night practice. Then it developed into a custom among the monks.
