青岛：“走出去”

作为实施“走出去”战略的重要内容，近年来，青岛加大了在海外的宣传力度，进一步宣传青岛加快建设宜居幸福现代化国际城市的新形象、新成就、新变化，并同步做好2014青岛世园会的宣传招展工作，促进青岛与国外城市间的友好往来。

Overseas Promotion Shortens Qingdao’s Distance Between the World

With a view to displaying Qingdao’s new image,new achievements and new changes as a modernized international city suitable for inhabitation,popularizing the 2014 Qingdao World Horticultural Expo,and promoting Qingdao’s friendly communications with its sister-cities,from April 8th to 19th,Wang Wei,Vice Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee,headed a delegation to visited the related cities in Argentina,Brazil and Mexico.During the time,the delegation launched publicity concerning the images, tourism,and 2014 World Horticultural Expo in Qingdao.With a view to promoting the communications and cooperation with the overseas Chinese media and promoting the deep implementation of Qingdao’s "going-out" strategy,from April 18th to 29th,a delegation jointly organized by the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee,the Foreign Publicity Office of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee,the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Qingdao Municipal Government,Qingdao Daily Agency,and Qingdao Municipal Radio and TV Station visited Indonesia,Australia and New Zealand to launch the city image promotion with the theme of "Images of Qingdao" as well as the media cooperation aiming at publicizing the 2014 Qingdao World Horticultural Expo. Qingdao has sent two successive delegations abroad to publicize Qingdao and the 2014 World Horticultural Expo,which have produced good achievements.Through the visits,Qingdao not only has promoted its friendly communications with her principal sister-cities and expanded Qingdao’s influence worldwide,but also has pioneered new platforms and channels for Qingdao’s foreign publicity and enriched the carriers of foreign publicity,thus accelerating the steps of Qingdao’s "going-out".
