中国区域经济收敛与地区差距的再检验

本文首先收集1985—2006年中国28个省市数据验证中国区域经济增长的条件β收敛和绝对β收敛，然后运用Blinder—Oaxaca分解方法来分析造成我国东部地区与中西部地区发展差距的原因。实证结果显示，我国自1985年来区域经济增长没有表现出收敛性。当我们将全国划分为东部地区和中西部地区后，我们发现东部地区经济增长收敛，而中西部地区经济增长不收敛。Blinder—Oaxaca分解结果显示，中西部地区与东部地区经济发展差距扩大的最主要原因是中西部地区实物资本投资不足。随着改革开放的深入，外商直接投资和开放程度在地区差距中发挥的作用越来越大，而教育和地理位置的优惠政策的作用则越来越小。

The Re-test for Convergence of Regional Economy and Regional Disparities in China

The paper collects 28 provinces and cities data from 1985 to 2006 to study conditional β convergence and absolute β - convergence of Chinese regional economic growth, and then uses Blinder - Oaxaca decomposition to analyze the masons of the regional disparities between eastern region and central and western regions. The empirical analysis suggests that there is no evidence of convergence in China since 1985. While we find economic growth convergence in eastern region, the economic growth convergence has not been identified in central and western regions. The result of Blinder - Oaxaea decomposition shows that, the main reason of expanding gap of regional economic development is lack of physical capital in central and western regions. With the deep going of reform and opening up, foreign direct investment and opening degree have been more and more important in regional disparities, while the role of education and regional preferential policy become less significant.
