| Abstract: | The accelerated development of the commercial paper business in Shanghai free trade zone （FTZ） is favorable to supporting the accelerated growth of FTZ enterprises＇ demand for settlement, facilitating the cross-border RMB payment and improving the financial institutions＇ asset and liability management. Through analyzing the constraints on current commercial paper business development, the article makes policy suggestions on improving the CP business rules and systems, speeding up e-CP business development, guiding offshore RMB banking to participate in e-CP business and launching pilot financing CP business in Shanghai free trade zone in order to promote CP business innovation and serve Shanghai free trade zone development. |
