On the Countermeasures to Be Taken by Hebei Foundry After WTO

The faced chance and challenge by the foundry industry in Hebei Province after the entry of WTO are discussed. The present status and existential difference of the foundry in China and Hebei are analyzed. Based on the rule of WTO and foundry characteristics and practical condition in Hebei, the measures and advice for developing the foundry in Hebei is put up. For example, though the throughput in China is high, operating rate of capacity of foundry is obviously deficient, and the quality and price of casting are low. So the competitive power of foundries is not on the high side. At the same time, the demand for castings in the world is all along hearty. From the aspects of factory distribution, level of management, precision of casting, environmental protection, and modern enterprise system, the concrete measures and advice for promoting casting industry in our province is brought forward.
