基于反应型乳化剂的含吡啶基团聚合物乳液的制备

摘    要:乳液聚合中,乳化剂起着非常重要的作用。本研究以甲基丙烯酸正丁酯(BMA)、偏二氯乙烯(VDC)、二乙烯基苯(DVB)和4-乙烯基吡啶(4-VP)为单体,以实验室自制的可逆加成-断裂链转移剂RAFT试剂作为反应型乳化剂,采用亚硫酸氢钠-过硫酸钾氧化还原引发体系,通过常规间歇乳液聚合方法制得具有不同粒径大小和粒径分布的稳定聚合物乳液。通过TEM、红外光谱仪对聚合物乳液进行了乳胶粒形态和结构测试。通过颗粒度和Zeta电位测试仪研究了乳化剂的用量、交联剂的用量、4-乙烯基吡啶的用量和单体浓度对乳胶粒粒径大小及其稳定性的影响。结果表明:该聚合物乳液具有较高的ζ电位,粒径分布窄,粒径大小可以在40~300nm范围内调整。该乳液聚合方法对合成含吡啶基团的聚合物乳液具有一定的指导作用。

Abstract:Surfactant is very important to emulsion polymerization.In this study,stable polymer emulsion derived from butyl methacrylate(BMA),4 -vinyl pyridine(4 - VP),vinylidene chloride(VDC) and divinylbenzene(DVB) with different size and distribution was prepared through conventional batch emulsion polymerization using a reactive surfactant and a redox initiator. Morphology and structure of the emulsion latex were studied with TEM and infrared spectrometer.Influences of the quality ratio of the reactive surfactant,the dosages of the cross - linking agent and 4 - vinyl pyridine and monomer concentration on the particle size and the stability were discussed by size and ? analyzer.The results showed that the obtained polymer emulsion has higher g potential,and the particle size has narrow distribution.The particle size could be adjusted in the range of 40~300nm. This polymerization system can give some further understanding on the mechanism of emulsion polymerization.This method of polymerization may have instructive effects on synthesizing functional emulsions including pyridine groups.
