Conversational Analysis of College English Teachers'Questioning Strategies

Teacher's talk plays an important role in classroom teaching and language acquisition.Asking questions is a common and effective teaching method in classroom activities.Good questions can check the expected answers and inspire students to think deeply.On the basis of the theory of cooperative principle and politeness principle in conversational analysis,the current article proposes that college English questioning should follow the quantity max- im,quality maxim and positive feedback maxim.
