The implementation of the development po licy of the western region helps improve the region,s soft and hard condition i n terms of basic infrastructure, such as transportation and electric power. The future five to ten years are the golden time for the development of the western region. There are some more potential commercial opportunities in such industri es as energy and chemical industry, tourist and cultural industry, and some hi gh-tech industries.
