Polyphenylene sulfide fiber is one kind of new high performance synthetic fiber, it is synthesized with polyphenylene sulfide fiber level resin that being stretched, curled, and cut off under the high temperature condition by conventional melting spinning method. It has outstanding thermo stability, chemical corrosion resistance, flame retardance and so on. It has been used widely in domains such as environmental protection, electron, machinery , automobile, spinning ,weaving,and aerospace. Transformation performance, manufacture technology, technical progress, and application prospect of polyphenylene sulfide fiber were introduced, and suggestion to Chinese polyphenylene sulfide fiber industry＇s development was put forward.
