On the Urban-Rural Integration in the Perspective of Scientific Development Concept

With the guidance of scientific development concept, Communist Party of China （CPC） puts forward the thoughts of urban - rural integration. It is a significant development and innovation of the strategy of agriculture, farmer and rural area in the process of building a moderately prosperous society in an all - round way, and also a major strategic measure to solve the issue of agriculture, farmer and rural area and to promote the harmonious development of society and economy during the 12th Five - Year Plan period. This paper attempts to make a brief discussion on the theoretical basis of integration thoughts of urban and rural area, deeply study the background of CPC＇ s urban - rural integration thoughts, and finally sum up the main theoretical and practical innovation.
