Regionalism and Economic Integration of the Yangtze River Delta

The regionalism of the China's local government is harmful to market integration and economic cooperation among regions. The paper studies the regionalism of the Yangtze River Delta. To develop regional economy and market integration of the Yangtze River Delta, the writer takes some suggestions on establishing domestic market integration as follows; a) to harmonize competitive rules to boost integration of adjacent regions; b) to open market of property right and to encourage multi-regional annexation; and c) to establish a integration market step by step.
