提高大学英语大班课堂教学效率的策略

摘    要:作为目前国内很多高校普遍采用的一种教学模式,大学英语大班课堂教学存在诸多弊端,由于人数太多,教师采用传统的课堂教学模式,势必导致学生参与机会少,交互练习的机会少;学生的积极性很难调动;教师难以对课堂进行有效管理;无法根据学生的个性差异进行个性化教学等.与此同时随着大学英语教学改革的不断深化,大学英语教学的重心逐渐转向培养学生语言交际能力,这为大学英语大班教学带来了更多挑战.本文主要从大学英语大班课堂教学师生角色、课堂组织结构、课堂教学反馈几方面入手,探索提高大班课堂教学效率的有效策略.

Abstract:As the main format of foreign language teaching in colleges and universities in our country at present, big class teaching has certain drawbacks, such as the teacher---centered class as a result of the duck-feeding teaching method, students' lack of participation and interaction in class resulting in student's lack of interest in class, teachers' difficulty in efficiently controlling the class because of its large size and so on. At the same time, with the deepening of college English teaching reform, cultivating students' communicative competence gradually becomes the focus of college English teaching, which brings more challenges to college English teaching in big classes. This article tries to explore effective strategies to improve college English teaching in big classes from the following perspectives: students' and teachers' role in big class teaching, class organization patterns and teaching feedbacks.
