基于专门用途英语教学提高高职英语教学的社会适应性

摘    要:为适应社会经济发展、增加学生就业竞争力,高职院校英语教学有了根本的改变,即开始从传统的基础英语(English for General Purposes,简称EGP)向具有行业特征的专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,简称ESP)转变。专门用途英语是具有行业特点的技能型、应用型的英语课程,是与学生未来职业的有效结合,是符合市场对人才培养的需求。高职院校的英语教学只有把基础英语教学拓展到专门用途英语教学,才能够把学生培养成复合型、实用型人才。因此通过对ESP课程的开设背景、理论依据、需求分析等方面的研究,提出了开设ESP课程的一些建议,以探讨高职院校英语教学的社会适应性问题。

Abstract:In order to adapt to the social economic development, and increase the competitive strength of getting a job, there is a great change in English teaching of Higher Vocational College, that is to say, it changes from traditional EGP to vocational ESP. ESF is an English course with skill and application, it is connected with students' future vocation, it meets the need of training the talented person of the market. Only expand the EGP to ESP in English teaching of Higher Vocational College can we train the students into compounded and practical talented person. The author gives some sug- gestion by researching on background, theory foundation and demand analysis to discuss the issues of social adapting of Higher Vocational College.
