环境库兹涅茨曲线倒U型关系分析

环境库兹涅茨曲线是指在不同经济发展阶段，经济增长对环境质量影响的先恶化、后改善的倒U型曲线关系，国内外的许多实证研究都表明这种关系的确是存在的。利用一个微观静态模型对国民收入-环境污染之间的关系进行分析可以发现，先上升、后下降的倒U型曲线关系既不依赖于消费，也不依赖于国民收入的变化，它是由消费与环境污染之间的技术联系所决定的，尤其是与污染治理的自然技术特征密切相关，单纯的经济增长不能解决环境污染问题。

Analysis of Environmental Kuznets Curve Inverse-U-shaped Pattern

Evidence suggests that some pollution follow an inverse-U-shaped pattern related to countries' income.This relationship has been called the "environmental Kuznets curve".This paper lays out a simple and straight-forward static model of the micro foundations of the pollution-income relationship.The inverse-U shape does not depend on the dynamics of growth,political institutions,or even externalities.We show that it can be derived directly from the technological link between consumption of a desired good and abatement of its undesirable byproduct,especially the natural features of the abatement technology,and economic growth alone will not solve pollution problems.
