Upon the firm put its core competence into the alliance, it may loses its competence edge due to the partners' copying though it may benefit from the alliance.Thus results in a dilemma between the strategic alliance and the core competence.This paper categorizes the forms of strategic alliance and the core competence and, on the basis of the category, concepts the match structure.Some implications may be derived form the analysis which are meaningful for the firms.
