Tourism satellite account has become an international mainstream instrument of evaluating the tourism s economic effects on national economy,as the datum and conclusions acquired from it can be used for comparisons among nations,regions or between tourism industry and other industries.On the basis of existing studies,this paper gives a full introduction to tourism satellite account on the basic theory,the methodology and issues about its implementation,and the insufficiency as an analytical instrument. Finally, the paper indicates that implementing regional tourism satellite account and innovating analytical method, especially the adoption of neural network analytical method, should be the focus of future development of tourism satellite account.
