Reform of British Educational Management System during Brown’s Reign

Since the British government established the Committee of Privy Council on Education in 1839,British educational system has undergone several reforms,with Cameron’s new government set up the Ministry of Education in 2010.The biggest move in the latest reform is that the government led by Brown divided the original Department for Education and Skills into two departments,namely Department for Children,Schools and Families and Department for Innovation,Universities and Skills.This reform has attracted wide attention from Great Britain and international educational field.In retrospect of the development process of British educational system,we analyze the background,function classification and operating mechanism of the reform,which will provide reference for the educational system reform and development in China.
