流动性约束下欠发达地区城镇居民消费行为研究--以西北五省区为例

流动性约束作为一种信贷约束,在信贷市场发展不充分和收入水平较低的欠发达地区表现得更为严重,欠发达地区居民在流动性约束下,更倾向于减少当期消费而增加储蓄额。本文运用近28年西北五省区的面板数据,测算了欠发达地区城镇居民面临的流动性约束程度,分析了住房制度改革和消费信贷发展是1999年以来欠发达地区城镇居民消费的流动性约束增加的主要原因,最后,提出缓解欠发达地区城镇居民流动性约束、提高消费水平的建议。

The Study on Urban Residents Consumption Behavior of Less developed Areas under the Liquidity ConstraintsA Case of Five Provinces in Northwestern China

Liquidity constraint, as a kind of credit constraint, is more serious in less developed areas where the development of thecredit market is inadequate and the income level is low. Under the liquidity constraints, residents in less developed areas are more in-clined to reduce the current consumption and increase savings. The paper uses panel data of five provinces in northwestern China fornearly 28 years, calculates the degree of urban residents in less developed areas who are subject to the liquidity constraints, analyzesthat the reform of the housing system and the development of the consumption credit have been the main reasons for the increase of theliquidity constraints of the urban residents＇ consumption in less developed areas since 1999. Finally, the paper puts forward sugges-tions on alleviating urban resident liquidity constraints in less developed areas and increasing the consumption level.
