Evocation for Poetry——On the Elucidation of Chinese Modern Poetry by Chen Yan

Chen Yan was one of the earliest scholar who paid attention to the value and meaning of the Chinese modern poetry.In his relevant statements,Chen Yan had profoundly discussed the modern poetics’ history,manifestation and cultural spirit,which indicated his cultural consciousness and moral concern.However,after the rapid rise of the New Culture Movement,Chen Yan’s elucidation was annihilated by the radical anti-tradition thought.
