| Abstract: | How to efficiently and accurately measure polygon area and attributes from digital topographic maps is the problem often encountered by mapping engineering and technical personnel. This paper describes the linear conversion of terrain, ground object and other symbols in the digital topographic maps, and the process of using MAPGIS software to solve the problem. |
