现代性与民间传统的互动——以河南省路村“院”、“庙”为例

本文以河南省路村为个案，以路村文化大院和关帝庙建设为切入点，在田野调查资料的基础上，考察了代表国家力量及现代性意识形态的社会主义精神文明建设与民间传统在一个具体农村场域中的不同表述、不同实践及其相互交织的过程。在政府话语中，文化大院代表着先进、理性、科学，“庙”意味着愚昧、落后、迷信，文章指出，表面上是二元对立的“院”和“庙”，在路村村民的实际生活中却并没有截然分开对立，而是呈现出混合交织的形态。文章对在当下社会中如何重新认识现代性与发展话语，如何重拾民间传统的价值进行了反思。

Interaction between Modernity and Folk Tradition:the Example of "Cultural Centre" and "Temple" in Lu Village,Henan Province

This paper is a case study of the Lu Village in Henan Province, with focus on the interaction between the official ＂cultural centre＂ and the local Guandi Temple. Based on the data drawn from fieldwork, this thesis tries to show how the government campaign of promoting socialist values clashes with the time-honored tradition of local folks. In the government narratives, the cultural centre represents advancement, rationality, and science, whereas the Temple symbolizes ignorance, backwardness, and superstition. However, in the daily life of the local villagers, the cultural centre and the Temple are not as contradictory and confrontational as they appear to be. In fact, the two are somewhat merged together by the local people. The phenomenon should urge us to rethink the discourse of modernity and development and give due respect to the value of folk tradition.
