Abstract: | This is a summary of the final report of the Project to Study the Implications of Growth Policy for Postsecondary Education 1]. The project was conducted from June to December 1974 at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) under a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) and was directed by Drs. Perelman and Bergquist. The task of this project was to identify for the RBF how it may best invest its resources in postsecondary education to facilitate transformation to an equilibrium state world. The relevance of this study for higher education goes far beyond the stated interests of RBF. It will interest policy-makers, educators, researchers, and teachers seeking to determine the implications of “limits to growth” for postsecondary education. |
