Consumer’s Surplus of Four Kinds of Markets Under the Condition of Price Discrimination

According to the extent of monopoly,markets can be divided into four types:complete monopoly,oligopoly,monopolistic competition and complete competition.In the case of second-degree price discrimination being enforced,the quantitative results of the extent of price discrimination in these four kinds of markets is a worthy study.Under the condition of second-degree price discrimination,equilibrium production,equilibrium price,equilibrium total revenue,increased rate of total revenue,consumer surplus and occupied rate of consumer’s surplus were studied of a monopoly firm market by differential method,and n firms market by game theory method.Lastly,the mentioned indexes of all kinds of markets were generalized into unified formula and their characteristics were analyzed in detail.
