| Abstract: | There has been a keen debate on the status and the future of western economic geography at the turn of the 21st century. Many western economic geographers have engaged in this recent debate as to whether there is really a crisis of economic geography and what are the best approaches for the economic geography to move forward. The purpose of this paper is to review the current debate on the trends, challenges and problems in the western economic geography and two examples of globalization and world city are used. |
