| Abstract: | Abstract:There are few historical stages in the form and development of the city-town system. The paper expounded six historical stages in the form and development of the city-town system in Changde city of Hunan Province, demonstrated the objective conditions and basic features of the development and distribution on each stage, summarized the rules in the historical development of city-town system. The ultimate aim of the paper is to offer the testimony of the general urban planning and city-town system planning. |
