| 摘 要： | 面向21世纪,中央作出了西部大开发的重大决策。对西部经济增长点的选择,是西部开发的前提。城镇是区域的核心,是生产力、科技力量集中的地域。城镇建设可以带动区域经济的发展。本文分析了重庆市的城镇化水平和经济发展,提出了重庆城镇发展亟待解决的问题,指出重庆城镇发展是推进西部区域经济发展的关键。

| Abstract: | Facing the 21st, the central govemment makes a significant strategic decision on exploiting west China. Choosing the e-conomic growth pole of west China is the prerequisite of exploition. Urban is the core of region as well as the pool of productivity,science and technology. Urban construction can drive the development of regional economy. This paper analyzes the urbanizationlevel and economic development of Chongqing and approaches some impending problems of Urban development in Chongqing. It issuggested that urban construction is the key of improving development of western regional economy. |
