青藏铁路建设的科技突破及开通运营的巨大作用

青藏铁路格(尔木)拉(萨)段铁路全长1142km,海拔4 000m以上的地段有965km,其中多年冻土地段550km。青藏铁路建设成功地克服了高原多年冻土、高寒缺氧、生态脆弱三大难题,取得了多项世界顶尖科技突破。大力保护脆弱的生态环境,根据高原动物不同习性,铁路沿线建成三类迁徙通道。青藏铁路开通1年来,实现了安全运营,发挥了巨大经济社会效益。这条现代化陆路大通道开始发挥重要作用,进出西藏旅客与货物大幅度提升。旅游业首先受益,青藏铁路成为旅游热线;旅游业跃居西藏三产"龙头",许多农牧民受益。西藏在区域合作中的地位得以提升,招商引资呈现良好势头。青藏铁路延伸线已被列入国家西部交通设施建设重点工程。

THE SCIENTIFIC BREAKTHROUGH OF QINGHAI-TIBET RAILWAY CONTRIBUTION AND ITS AFFECTS

The Qinghai-Tibet Railway stretches 1,142 kilometers from Golmud to Lhasa,capital of Tibet Autonomous Region.About 965 kilometers of the track is 4,000 meters above sea level,and 550 kilometers of track runs over permafrost areas.The construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway successfully conquers three difficult problems: plateau permafrost;lack of oxygen and ecological fragility.It achieves major breakthroughs in many high-technologies in the world.It also protects the fragile ecology environment.Based on animals' life habits in plateau,it has been built three kinds of passageways for wild animals.Since Qinghai-Tibet Railway begins operation last year,it has operated safely and has had enormous economic and social benefits.This modernized land transport channel increases large quantities of input and output passengers and goods to Tibet,and accelerates tourism in Tibet.Tourism is the head of the third industry in Tibet.Now traveling to Tibet is a hot line,many Tibet peasants and herdsmen gain.Owing to the railway,Tibet improves its position in regional cooperations and invites more outside investments.Qinghai-Tibet Railway extending line has been taken in the most important projects in west transportation constructions in the country.
