关于开展杭州西湖地学旅游及建立"杭州西湖国家地学公园"的设想

杭州西湖地区有着极丰富的地质学、地貌学、湖泊学及河口水文学等地学内容，且研究程度高，是我国高校重要的地学实习基地，具备开展地学专题旅游及建立“国家地学公园”的优越条件。内容丰富，多样性和综合性是此“地学公园”的特色，“西湖成因”可作为其主题。钱江涌潮划入此“地学公园”的范围，按其规模和意义可申报世界自然遗产。

ASSUMPTION OF INITIATING GEO-SCIENCE TOURS ON THE WEST LAKE AND ESTABLISHING THE HANGZHOU WEST LAKE NATIONAL GEO-SCIENCE PARK

Containing rich geo-science information of geometry, geomorphology, limnology and river mouth hydro-geology etc, which are widely studied, the West Lake area in Hangzhou is a key fieldwok base of geo-science for institutions of higher learning. The abvanced conditions make it possible to develop special tours concerning geo-science and build the national geo-science park, featuring rich contents, diversity and build the nations geo-science park, featuring rich contents, diversity and comprehensiveness with the cause of formation of the West Lake as its theme. With the Qiantang River Tidal Bores encircled in it, the park will be big and significant enough for applying for entering the World Nature Relics List.
