Contrast Study on Grassland Ecological Safety Based on Ecological Footprint between GanZi Prefecture and Inner Mongolia

grassland resources are very abundant in Ganzi Prefecture and Inner Mongolia,faced with the development of animal husbandry and grassland protection,ecological safety causes people＇s extensive attention.This paper used the ecological footprint model to calculate the grassland ecological footprint during 1995-2008 in Ganzi prefecture and Inner Mongolia,and made comparative study of the ecological safety.Results indicated that insecurity of grassland ecosystem in Ganzi Prefecture and Inner Mongolia,however,because of differences of population,economy,urbanization and etc,leading a larger ecological security difference between in Ganzi Prefecture and Inner Mongolia.Human production and living had a larger dverse effects on grasslands in Inner Mongolia.To take warning from Inner Mongolia,Ganzi Prefecture should adhere to ＂protection first,using second＂ in Agricultural development.We should protect the grassland ecological environment and improve the economic development of Tibetan farmers and herders at the same time.
