西南地区地质公园建设和地质遗迹保护发展战略

我国是最早提出地质公园这一概念的，也是以政府名义首次正式命名并批准建立地质公园的国家。从西南地区的自然地理、社会经济、国家级旅游区、自然保护区以及地质公园和地质遗迹的基本情况出发，提出实施西南地区地质公园建设和地质遗迹保护发展战略，这是开拓地质工作新领域，为西南地区经济发展服务的最佳切入点。

Construction of Geoparks and Preservation of Geological Relics in South-western Region of china

As the first country to propose the concept of geopark, China has, for the first time, formally assigned names to and permitted the establishment of geoparks in the name of the government. This paper puts forward development strategies of geopark construction and geological relics preservation in the south-western region on the basis of natural geography, social economy, national tourism sites,and natural preservation areas as well as the basic conditions of geoparks and geological relics in the region.
