人力资本代际传递与中国经济增长潜力

The Intergenerational Transmission of Human Capital and China＇s Economic Growth Potential

This paper tries to show the dynamic interaction between the intergenerational transmission of human capital and economic growth in a uniform system about China { here human capital is confined in schooling invest- ment, healthy investment and time with children ）. Capital market imperfections and indivisibility in human capital investment prevent low - income group from investing in children containing time and money. The acquisition of the human capital positively affects technological progress. More productive technologies in turn require more sophisti- cated qualification and involve higher investing costs. The equilibrium dynamics can be characterized by the joint e- volution of productivity growth, the investing costs, and the income distribution. Under the assumptions, individual incomes follow a non - linear Markov chain. This non - linearity generates endogenous fluctuations of investing ac- tivities and the rate at which productivity improvements occur.
