Empirical Analysis on Technology Efficiency and Their Influencing Factors of Chinese Tourism Industry

In this paper,based on the number of Cobb-Douglas production function of the stochastic frontier model,we conducted the empirical study on efficiency of the 1996-2009 Regional Tourism Industry in China and its influencing factors,the results showed that: the growth of our tourism industry,primarily by large-scale labor input-driven,is still in the extensive mode of economic growth.The efficiency of the tourism industry shows that a steady upward trend,the overall level is higher,in the same technological advances available under the precondition,the tourism industry in China still have much growth potential.Factors affecting the efficiency of the industry,like external dependence,resource development level of growth in the tourism industry can promote the role of competition in the industry,enterprise technical equipment,enterprise-scale technology can restrain the efficiency improvement of tourism industry to some extent.
