Guiding the Work of China Urban Financial Society with Scientific Concept of Development

This paper expounds the situation and tasks that China Urban Financial Society will encounter in the few years to come.The tasks are: be proactive in meeting the challenges from fully opening of the banking industry in post-transition period,take the imitative to change the existing operation model and growth patterns,sharpen our core competitive edge by means of proprietary innovation,improve operational and managerial efficiency with better corporate governance,set up systems for overall risk management and internal control,stand ready for rate marketization and financial disintermediation and gear up for operational internationalization.At the same time,it is proposed that we should strengthen our management over and give more support to the work of the society so that it can develop healthily and smoothly,push forward theoretical research in the spirit of active innovation and continue to expand the scope and depth of our foreign-oriented academic exchange and to coordinate and instruct our institutional members.The report is highly instructive to the work of the Society.
