Abstract:A large proportion of accidents in the construction of municipal railroads are related to third-party property losses.In the insurance field,there are many research results on fundamental engineering risk theories and risk management,but few of them have focused on shield tunnel risk management.In particular,there is a lack of comparative risk management researches based on quantitative method.As a result,there is a lack of quantitative data support for engineering risk analysis and engineering insurance.The paper used the quantitative method in the environmental risk analysis and engineering insurance underwriting condition assessment for shield tunnel construction.The Peck Formula has been proved to be a reliable and practicable method to evaluate the settlement of stratum in its cross section while a shield tunnel passes through it.The result it arrives at fit quite well with the actual monitoring result.This method which used in this essay is based on both the Peck Formula and the building destruction membership function theory to judge the third party building′s settlement loss while shield tunnel passes through its stratum.The result can reflect the tendency and scope of actual losses.This offered a fairly simple and practical method to quantitatively study possible upper building settlement losses in the construction of a shield tunnel passing under it.And it can also provide insurance companies with quantitative method to underwriting relevant risks.
