从优质生源、人才培养以及学校声望等角度探讨了研究型大学重视本科教育的必要性,指出了研究型大学本科教育中存在定位不准、教师不愿意从事本科教学、教学资源严重不足以及精品教材奇缺等问题,提出了成立本科教育改革委员会、建立具有研究型大学特色的本科生导师制、提倡和鼓励教师开展研究性教学和规范教材建设等建议。     

A Model for Evaluating the Effectiveness of Economic Education in Primary Grades

Understandably, many economists have grave doubts about the possibility of teaching basic economic concepts to primary level children. Davison and Kilgore report on the development and use of their Primary Test of Economic Understanding. Some 500 second-grade pupils and 24 teachers were involved in their experiment. A control group made up of children who received regular social studies instruction was compared with experimental groups using primary level economics materials. Differences in the pupils' general academic ability, socioeconomic environment and teacher preparation were taken into account. The authors found that children in early elementary grades can learn certain basic economic concepts.     

Economics Courses Offered and Required in Two-year Colleges

Reporting the results of a nation-wide survey of economics in junior colleges, Dawson lists the courses given and indicates which students are required to take economics. Not surprisingly, Principles of Economics is most common, and business students are the ones most likely to be required to take it. The average number of courses offered is three, although some schools offer as many as 10. A breakdown by type of college (public, independent, church-related) is presented, and suggestions for improvement are offered.

区域性教育与经济协调发展关系的实证研究

教育与经济发展之间存在着相互制约、相互促进的关系,但这种关系的每个传递环节并不总是必然协调的.本文通过面板数据模型(panel data)对全国31个省份的教育与经济增长的相关关系进行实证分析后发现,中国教育与经济发展的协调性在东、中、西部三个地区的情况各有不同,差别较大.随着经济的增长,不同区域的教育投入均有所增加,而教育投入的增加到教育水平的提高以及教育发展推动经济进一步增长的过程均不协调.     

Integrating econometrics: A modern undergraduate economics capstone experience

Angrist and Pischke (2017) call for a pedagogical paradigm shift by pointing out that econometrics courses often do not align with modern empirical approaches employed by economists. This article's authors propose a modern capstone experience, designed to address these concerns by integrating econometrics into the traditional capstone approach. They couple a full econometrics course with a traditional capstone course by weaving a cohesive econometrics-heavy research paper through the two courses. They feel this approach addresses the lack of econometrics skills among economics majors while simultaneously making some necessary improvements to undergraduate econometrics content. They hope this article will be a valuable resource for programs changing course requirements or revamping their curriculum to better fit the increasing demand for data analysis skills in the job market.     

A Course in Economic Forecasting: Rationale and Content

This note shows that the impact of an increase in product price on factor demand in the typical textbook depiction is overstated to the point of indicating that competitive firms demand factors even when marginal product is negative.     

福建省高等教育对经济增长的贡献率研究

以丹尼森教育量简化指数法为基础,以1996—2007年相关统计数据测算了福建省高等教育对经济增长的贡献率。结果显示,虽然福建省高等教育已有一定发展,但相较于周边省份仍有所滞后,应进一步重视高等教育发展。     

基于经济理论的高校大学生诚信道德教育

近些年来,高校大学生诚信缺失与道德现状越来越受到教育界和社会公众的关注,这无疑提醒我们高校大学生需要诚信道德教育。从经济理论出发,对高校大学生诚信缺失进行博弈分析,探究其深层次原因,基于道德与经济的一致性的理论,将经济理论中的微观均衡理论、效用最大化规律、机会成本理论、收益与责任对称理论与诚信道德教育结合,提出大学生诚信道德教育的新理念。     

The Effect of Information Technology on Economic Education

The author evaluated the effect on student performance of using a new information technology (IT) enhancement that permits students to participate in the recording of lectures that can be downloaded later from the Internet. The author compared two sections of the same Intermediate Microeconomics class and observed the sample students to be representative; the empirical model accounted for any differences in student characteristics between the comparison and test groups. Model results show that students exposed to the IT enhancement performed about 2 percentage points better on their final exam than did the comparison students; however, the difference was not statistically different from zero. The author concluded that the use of IT appears to not have any substantive influence on student performance.     

河南省经济增长和教育发展的灰色关联度分析

本文将经济增长和教育发展的相互作用关系作为灰色系统,建立了教育发展与经济增长的灰色关联度分析模型,并选取了2000—2007年河南省教育发展和经济增长相关指标的数据,对河南省的教育发展与经济增长的相互关系进行了实证分析。研究结果显示:总体上,河南省经济增长与教育发展呈中度关联。这表明,为促进经济增长,应加强高等教育、中等职业教育和成人技术培训教育,同时还应继续增加对教育发展的资金投入力度。     

Economic Education in Our Schools: A Renewed Mission

In a speech at the 1984 Annual Meeting of the Joint Council on Economic Education and the National Association of Economic Education, Richard Cyert points out the importance of economic education in understanding changes that are currently being experienced in our economy and that are likely to continue. He stresses the importance of the computer and automation and predicts a decline in the importance of manufacturing and a more unequal distribution of income, and he suggests the need for some sort of a life net for possible casualties of this process.     

Economic Education in Korea: Current Status and Changes

The authors describe key aspects of precollege and undergraduate economic education in Korea. They show that precollege students seem to have low economics literacy due to problems with the curriculum and insufficient training of teachers. At the undergraduate level, they show that economics departments have more male students than female students and that the employment rate for economics majors is lower than for business majors. They hope to draw more of Korean economists' attention to research initiatives in economic education.     

Frank Knight's Skeptical View of Economic Education

Much of what is fundamental in modern economic pedagogy and content is directly derived from Frank Knight, an ardent advocate of and contributor to economic education. Yet, as the author explains, he held strong reservations about the impact of education on strong and widely held views.     

辽宁省政府教育支出与经济增长的协整关系研究

本文运用非限制性VAR模型方法,采用1980-2007年的年度数据,对振兴背景下辽宁省政府教育支出与经济增长之间的协整关系进行了实证研究.研究表明,自2003年实施老工业基地振兴战略以来,经济增长与教育支出均出现增长拐点,辽宁省政府教育支出对经济增长的拉动作用更加明显,而在短期内这种拉动作用并不明显,教育支出与经济增长存在着长期的均衡关系,短期波动与长期均衡构成了辽宁省经济增长与政府教育支出两者之间的运动轨迹.基于以上结论,本文提出了若干政策建议.     

教育可持续发展的经济学分析:一个基本框架

教育不仅是一个社会学范畴,同时也是一个重要的经济学范畴.在考察教育的经济学内涵的基础上,引入经济学的公平与效率、供给与需求、规模与结构、竞争与垄断、成本与收益等概念等作为分析工具,可构建一个教育可持续发展的经济学分析框架,能为我国教育的可持续发展提供理论借鉴.
