Jixi Mining Bureau

In 1992 the Jixi Mining Bureau ranked 85th among the State's big enterprises, 38th in fixed assets and 6th in China's coal enterprises. It has 12 mines, fixed assets worth RMB2.96 billion, and a staff of 190,000 including 5,204 with academictitles. The bureau basts 19,700 pieces of equipment. Around 90 percent of mining is machine done and the annual output value is RMB1.85 billion. The output of coal in 1993 reached 13.95

The Beiman Special Steel Co. Ltd. was restructured from the mainframe of the former Qiqihar Steel Plant in October 1992, with a total capital stock of 440 million. The company has a staff of 13,235, including 1085 technical and managerial staff and 261 senior technical personnel. It has an annual composite production capacity of 620,000 tons of steel and 495,000 tons of steel materials.     

Qiqihar No.2 Machine Tool Works

The Qiqihar No. 2 Machine Tool Works, founded in 1950, is a large national enterprise with the longest record in the production of milling and boring machines. The factory has automatic forging presses and a staff of over 10,000 including 1,218 technicians. It occupies an area of 940,000 sqm with buildings covering 210,000 sqm and has fixed asset worth RMB220.89 million, 1740 pieces of equipment, overhead traveling cranes with a lifting capacity of 160 tons, thermostat controlled workshops, a modern metering and testing centre and computer centres. In addition the factory has a research institute for automatic forging presses and operates the Heilongjiang Large Dies Development Centre.

RMB5.9 Billion for Renovation of Mining Safety

In order to promote the coal production capacity of our country and improve the level of safety production, since 2001, the state has been supporting the safety renovation work for coalmines by utilizing the funds of national bonds.
